MP2.03 Choose the Sections & Locations to send to MarketPlace – TutorFirst Knowledge Base

Overview

The Sections in MarketPlace are the functions that will be live on your MarketPlace Storefront. You may have different items live in different instances of MarketPlace.

Available Services - Selling Hours not connected to a session to be scheduled manually at a later date.

Tutors - Send a list of tutors with photos, subjects & Levels and bios so that your customers or prospects may book them.

Sessions - Selling pre-created sessions. The session is created in TutorFirst and your customers or prospects buy the session. Or a Schedule is created in TutorFirst set to sell the sessions in the schedule individually to your customers or prospects.

Packages - Selling a pre-created Schedule. The schedule is created in TutorFirst and your customers or prospects buy onto the entire schedule.

When switched on the section titles will appear on the right hand side of your MarketPlace Storefront.

You may change the names of Available Services, Packages, Sessions & Tutors in labels. This is the text before any colon. The text after any colon comes from the name of the session type.

Turn on Sections

1. To turn on the Sections that you would like to display, go to: Set Up > Other > MarketPlace > Select instance if more than one.

2. In Sections on the Ordering tab, green sections will be sent to MarketPlace and grey items are turned off.

3. You may drag the items into the order required.

4. The Sections will not show on your MarketPlace screen until you have something for sale in the Section or have sent Tutors to display.

Location Filters

The Locations are your Private Pay TutorFirst Programs that you wish to appear in the filter in the side menu on the MarketPlace Storefront.

Ensure filters are turned on in Setup > Marketplace > Configuration > Storefront:

5. To send a Private Pay Program to the Location Filter open the program by selecting: Locations > Select Program > Press Edit.

Check the slider in Show in Marketplace.

6. To show individual service delivery locations in the filter, edit the Associated Location and press Show in Marketplace. Note that the program must also be set to Show in Marketplace.

7. Close Edit page.

8. The location will not show on your MarketPlace page unless you have set Sessions or Packages activated and have listed an item for sale.

9. When you have decided on Sections & Locations you will need to create and send data for each section that is live. Choose the relevant tutorial from below to work on those items. When those items are complete the sections will on your Marketplace Storefront.
