Overview
Consequential Offerings allows you to set MarketPlace to prompt your customer to purchase a linked item or book a tutor, if they place a certain item in the shopping cart.

Prompt to book a tutor if Services (hours) are purchased
1. To sell hours and prompt to book a tutor you will need at least Services & Tutors switched on for the instance of MarketPlace.
2. On the Configuration tab in Marketplace setup open Consequential Offering.
3. Select the name of the session type in the 'If Buy' column and then set what should be prompted.
4. In the third column add any text you would like in the pop-up, include any instructions that might be required. Drag the corner of the field to expand to see all of your text.
5. When the item is placed in the cart on MarketPlace a pop up will ask if they would like to book the item you placed in the 'Then Offer', column (as long as it is on offer on your MarketPlace). If you added your own text it will feature in the pop up as shown below.
If you did not add text the pop up will just show the title and buttons.
Labels
If you have renamed tutors in your database by changing the label in Set Up - Config Settings - Labels, the word tutor will still appear on the MarketPlace set up page but be replaced with the name you have set in the consequential offerings pop up on MarketPlace.
6. When pressed, Book Now will open the list of Tutors for your customer to book a time.
7. If your customer selects the same session type as the one already in the cart the tutor booking will be no additional charge.
8. If the hours purchased belong to a package of multiple hours, tutors can be booked at no charge up to the time released by the session type. For example, if your customer chooses a 20 hour package they can book 20 hours with tutors at no additional charge. If there is no time in the cart or your customer books more time with a tutor than is in the cart then the session type charge will be applied.
Prompt to Buy a Session Type if a Session Type is Purchased
You may wish customers to be prompted to buy associated items when purchasing sessions or packages in MarketPlace, such as offering early drop off or late pick up with camp.
9. Open your MarketPlace instance and press on the configurations tab.
10. Open Consequential Offerings.
11. Choose the session type that will trigger the prompt.
12. Choose the session type that you wish to be displayed.
13. Repeat for other items or link items in a sequence.
Note: Items have to be set as available in packages or sessions on the ordering page and scheduled sessions or packages have to be available to purchase for the prompt to be triggered. The prompt will not work with zero time line items.
