
Overview
Optional Item - Available Services forms part of the store front and enables you to sell hours of service or charge fees using your Session Types.
These hours can be purchased alone or part of a tutor booking, but are independent of created sessions and schedules that are sold as is.

Activate Services
To set this up Services must be one of the green items in your Sections column.
Ready the Session Type for Sale
1. A Session Type needs to be prepared to send to MarketPlace Services. This is done in the Customer Purchasing Area.
2. Go to: Set Up > Other > Customer Purchasing.
3. Press Add Row and in the second field select the session type you wish to send to MarketPlace services for your customers to purchase.
4. In the Display to Customer field you can choose to show a different name to your customers or add the same name as required.
5. Define the default booking time for this Display in minutes.
6. If you only want your customers to book the exact time (if scheduling a tutor say) then check off Default Only.
7. If you would like to add a picture press the Edit pencil and upload a picture. The pencil will go green if a picture is present.
8. Press Apply Changes. This will send this item to the Services column on the MarketPlace setup page. When ready, turn it on by making the customer facing name green.

9. When set to green it will display on the MarketPlace page with the price that is entered on the Configure Session Types page.
10. Repeat for any additional items.
11. Zero time session types may be sent to MarketPlace to charge a fee for an item that will have no session associated.
12. Date Range and Date Range max session types may not be sent to Available Services.
13. If you have an override billing rate set for an existing student the student's personal rate will be applied at check out when the customer selects the student name.
Package Session Types
14. If selling a package of hours make sure that the session type is set up as a package.
If I am selling a package of 24 hours the session type is programmed as 1440 minutes for a total of $xx for that 1440minutes. Your customer would buy one package to receive the 24 hours. But they will not book a 24 hour session so use Customer Purchasing to indicate the individual session lengths.

15. If required reorder your Available Services in the Services column in the setup MarketPlace page by dragging the blocks.
Date Range Session Types Sold Via Services
16. If selling a date range package via MarketPlace the invoice will be created in TutorFirst assuming the date of purchase is the start date for the range. If this is not the case edit the start date in the invoice as required.
Correcting Date Range Invoices if a Quantity other than 1 is selected
17. If a quantity other than 1 is selected by your customer when purchasing date range session types via your MarketPlace, TutorFirst will place this into one row on the invoice and will need to be manually adjusted.
For example if the customer selects a quantity of 2 the 2 will be on one line therefore not allocating the second batch of hours correctly.
18. To correct this: Unapply Payments and change the quantity to one.
19. Save the invoice with just one date range row.
20. Create a new invoice with the information for the second purchase, perhaps it's for a different student for the same dates, or the same student for different dates.
21. Reapply the payment to the two invoices.
22. Check the student/'s Summary of Hours to ensure your corrections are accurate.
