The Learning Plan Connection
The Oases Progress Report will correspond to the student's Learning Plan allowing the tutor to report specifically on those goals.
Therefore, the Progress Report will be of maximum efficacy if the student has a Learning Plan.
However, it may be used without a Learning Plan to collate student session notes and test scores.
Create Progress Report
1. In the main menu select: People > Students > Open Student > PR tab.
2. If there are no existing progress reports the page will advise This Student has no Progress Reports.
3. If there are already progress reports for a student the page will open at the most recent progress report.
4. Progress reports are labelled by the date range they cover and if there are multiple reports you can flick through them using the drop down menu to select other reports.
5. To create a new report, start by selecting New Report. You will be presented with calendars where you can select start and end date for the date range of the report you wish to create. Note: Dates may overlap, you can create weekly reports and at the end of the month create a monthly report. It's up to you to choose how often you will create progress reports.
6. Once your date range is entered press Add Progress Report and the report page will be added.
7. The report page will look different depending on whether the student has a learning plan.
A. If the student has a learning plan the progress report page will mimic the learning plan allowing reporting on the specific goals and will look per the image below.
B. If the student does not have a learning plan the progress report builder page will look per the image below. Scroll ahead to point 10.
8. For progress reports where a learning plan is present answer the progress questions for each of the goals that are being worked on.
The default questions are:
- Effort
- Understanding
- Evidence
- Next Steps
The questions you see may differ as this is a configurable item in your database.
9. Answer the progress questions for each goal and add any comments for each goal as required.
10. Add general comments at the bottom of the report. If the student does not have an Oases Learning plan the report page will be just this comments section but collate session notes and test scores upon printing.
11. Print the Report to view Oases collating the sessions and session notes for the date range selected.
Circulation
12. When you have finished creating progress reports for multiple students these may be printed or downloaded in bulk to save time.
13. Progress Reports may be emailed individually from the student Progress Report page.
Progress Report Approval
14. If activated in your database the Progress Report will be visible via the parent login when the progress report is approved. Only approve the report if you have been specifically instructed to perform this action.
