Create Manual Learning Plan
1. Start from the Learning Plan tab in the student record.
2. The page will say This student has no Learning Plan, or delete an existing learning plan in order to create a new one.
3. Click New Goal on the right side of the screen.
4. A window opens that displays the Instructional Focus selector, a Grade Selector defaulting to student's actual grade and the Goal selector. Select the Instructional Focus and change the grade if required.
5. Under Standard Group (strand/standard), click the drop down menu to select the first over-arching goal for this student's Learning Plan.
6. Once selected, click Add Goal.
NOTE: This will bring in default text for the Objective and Progress Monitoring and Assessment Methods in the center area of the grid. The bottom grid area will populate with the actual standards that fall under this over-arching standard.
7. Select the standard goals you will be using for this student for this over-arching standard by clicking the red X on the far left of each standard required. The red X will become a green check mark. Only the sub-skills with a green check mark will form part of and print to the LP.
8. You may add specific goal related comments or instructions at the bottom of the page.
9. You may repeat this process for as many over-arching standards as you require on the LP by pressing NEW GOAL. Use the drop down menu with the over-arching standard to switch between LP sections once you have added additional goals.
Duplicate to Other Students
10. Once created (automatically or manually) a Learning Plan may be copied to other students in a group tutoring situation.
