
Overview
Track and display student homework or assignments using the Assignment grid.
The Assignment grid will display in sessions for the student, the student record itself and to the linked parent/customer login.
Tasks for parents may be added from the student record.

Adding an Assignment in a Session
1. In the session an Assignment is added via the attending student panel. Press Assignments button.
2. The Assignment section will open.
3. Move the All Sessions slider to see prior Assignments for this student.
4. Press plus to open a new Assignment entry area.
Enter the following data:
- Assignment name.
- The Assignment date if it's not today's date.
- The due date.
- The number of questions if applicable.
- Add an explanation or instructions if required.
- You may add a document by browsing or dragging and dropping.
5. Press Return to List when finished and the Assignment will display in the Assignment grid.
Copy to All Students on Session
For sessions with multiple students you can copy the assignment to all students on the session by pressing the duplicate icon.

6. Moving the All Sessions slider will show a list or prior Assignments for this student with the most recent on top. Press anywhere on the row to open any Assignment and update with the Turned in date etc.
The Student Record
7. On the Assignment tab in the student record you may see all Assignments for the student and add and edit if required.
8. Use the Show All button to filter Assignments by their status.
- Open - Not turned in but before due date.
- Past Due - Not turned in but after due date.
- Completed - There is a date in the Turned In Date column.
Parent Tasks or Student Record Entry Assignments
9. If an Assignment is added via the Assignment tab in the Student record rather than a session it will have 'None' in the Session ID column. This is useful for items required from the parent for the student and not associated with a particular session. It will not alert them that an item is waiting but if you choose to you can advise customers to check this area during onboarding or when required.
Customer/Parent View
10. The view via the customer login is the same as that via the Student tab with the exception that the default setting is that Assignments added via sessions will not show unless the session is Approved.
This can be changed to show at different times via Config Settings. Setup - Company - Config Settings - Sessions - Assignments Visible to Parents.
From the Student Assignment tab sessions that are approved will be shaded green so you may know at a glance the approved status of the session.
11. Edits to the data may not be made via the parent login.
12. The list will also show the student name for parents/customers with multiple students.

13. Assignments set for the date range of a progress report may be listed on the progress report. In the main menu select: Setup > Company > Config Settings > Students > Progrep Include Assignments > Yes.
Reporting
14. Assignment fields are available as fields in the Student Custom reporting area.

15. To include student assignments on their progress reports set this in Config Settings. Go to Setup > Company > Config Settings > Students > Progrep Include Assignments > Set to Yes > Apply Changes.
