Definition of Active
1. A student is ACTIVE if they appear in the student list and this list is filtered to Active which is the default view.
This includes any students with an auto code status or status of:
Active, Received, Assigned, Submitted, Completed or Approved.
Students do not need to be actively tutoring to be considered operationally active.
2. If no other filters are applied (location, tutor) then the number of current active students may be seen bottom left. But this figure does not include any students that have been active during your billing period.
3. If a student was active and was made inactive or deleted at any time during a billing period they will be counted for the current period but not the next.
4. You may see an accurate figure on the My Account page in Oases.
Inactive Students
5. A student is INACTIVE if you have manually selected one of the Inactive codes. They will only appear on the student grid if the grid is filtered to Inactive.
If you are on Tier billing and a student was or is made active at any time for any period of time during the billing period the record will be counted for billing.
When adding or importing students make sure that the status is coded as inactive to avoid increasing your active student count.
Working with Inactive Students
You may edit a record but not perform any actions which would constitute them being active such as scheduling, testing, progress reports etc.
