Overview
Credit Card processing using Authorize.Net, through Oases is deprecated and will be removed on Sep 2nd, 2026.
The purpose of this tutorial is to outline your options for moving your customers' credit card processing from Authorize.net to Stripe. Due to PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance rules, card information can't be copied, and your customers will need to enter their card details again.
Our recommendation is Option One.

Connect your Stripe Account
1/ Go to Setup > Integrations > Payment.
2/ In the new section below your Authorize credentials, press Connect to Stripe to link your account. The credentials of an Admin on the Stripe account must be used.
3/ Add the features you have enabled in your Stripe Account. Select US Bank Account if you have ACH enabled.
Option One - Total Switch - Working in Bulk
4/ If you would like us to remove all of your current Authorize cards from your customers please submit a ticket and we will be happy to do that for you. This will allow you to bulk email your customers to either login and re-add their credit card details or bulk email them with a link to add the credit card details (recommended).
5/ Create an email template of type 'parent' and add the text you would like to include regarding switching processor and the need to re-enter their credit card details then drop in the macro as shown in the image below to produce a unique link for your customer to press. Send a test email using the new template to ensure the macro has been entered correctly.
6/ When we update the ticket to advise that all Authorize data has been removed, send the email to your customers. From your Customer List, check off customers and in Actions select Bulk Email. Select your template and send. This will send the link to your customers to input their details.
7/ The link is valid for 5 days and can be sent again if required.
8/ You will be advised by email when details are added.
Capture the Credit Card with the PayNow button in the Invoice Email
9/ If you email invoices to your customers add the Stripe Pay Now button to your invoice that is used exclusively with Stripe, as Stripe can capture credit card details at the same time as paying the invoice even if the customers don't have a login.
The macro for the button is #PAYSTANDALONEBUTTON#
Option Two - Gradual Switch - Working One by One
10/ In Setup > Integrations > Payments > Rename your Authorize Alias from Default to Authorize.
THEN DRAG STRIPE INTO POSITION ONE AS YOUR DEFAULT
Move a Customer from Authorize to Stripe
11/ Open the customer record on the Billing tab and scroll to the bottom.
12/ An existing customer using Authorize will look similar to the image below.
Delete the Cards/Payment Profiles
13/ Delete the current payment profiles by placing a check next to the payment profile rows and then select Delete Selected from the drop down menu.
Change the Processor
14/ When the payment types are deleted change the Payment Profile to Stripe.
15/ Press the pencil after Payment Profile
16/ Select Stripe.
Collect Credit Card data for Stripe
17/ Your customers will need to re-add their data directly via Oases to Stripe. For security reasons no data credit card data is saved by Oases and as such cannot be transferred from Authorize to Stripe.
Your customers can do this in one of two ways: By logging in to their Oases customer portal and adding a new payment method from the billing page or you can send them a link by clicking on New Payment Method and pressing the button to generate a link for them.
18/ Or create an email template of type 'parent' and add the text you would like to include regarding switching processor and the need to re-enter their credit card details then drop in the macro as shown in the image below to produce a unique link for your customer to press. Send a test email using the new template to ensure the macro has been entered correctly.
NOTE: Do not send this link until all Authorize data has been removed from the Payment Methods area and the Payment Profile set to Stripe.
Link Lifespan
19/ The link will be valid for 5 days, after which it will expire and a new link will need to be sent.
Confirmation
20/ You will receive a confirmation email to the email address listed on your My Account page when the customer has completed the entry.
Transition
21/ While transitioning using option two some of your customers will be paying by Authorize and some by Stripe which is fine. When transitioned remove the Authorize panel from Setup > Integrations > Payment.
