
Overview
You may wish to create meetings with Lessonspace & Pencil Spaces or need to have both active during a transition from one to the other. For this a default needs to be set for automatic meeting creation.

Choose your Default
1. Go to Setup > Integrations > Online Meetings.
2. When 2 API keys are in situ a Dual System Behavior menu will appear.
3. Choose your option from the following:
- Always Lessonspace - Choose if switching from Pencil Spaces to Lessonspace
- Always Pencil Spaces - Choose if switching from Lessonspace to Pencil Spaces
- Option for all, Default Lessonspace - choose if you want to use both but schedules and session types set to meetings will use Lessonspace
- Option for all, Default Pencil Spaces - choose if you want to use both but schedules and session types set to meetings will use Pencil Spaces.
- Option all except tutors, Default Lessonspace - choose if you want the office to be able to choose both but schedules, meeting session types and meetings created via tutor logins will default to Lessonspace.
- Option all except tutors, Default Pencil Spaces - choose if you want the office to be able to choose both but schedules, meeting session types and meetings created via tutor logins will default to Pencil Spaces.
Example
You currently use Lessonspace but are thinking of switching to Pencil Spaces and want to test.
a. With both API keys in situ select: Option for all except tutors, Default Lessonspace.
b. Your office team can create individual sessions and select to create a Pencil Spaces meeting to test operation and Pencil Spaces.
c. If you then want to expand the test to a couple of tutors select: Option for all, Default Lessonspace.
d. Continue testing.
e. When you decide to switch select: Always Pencil Spaces
f. Leave your Lessonspace API in place so that parents can view recent videos. When you judge enough time has elapsed remove Lessonspace API.
Existing Schedules
4. If your preference is changed you do not have to recreate any meetings on standby in a schedule. (blue clock icon). When the meeting is created when the Session Reminders are generated it will use the preference currently set.
New Schedules
5. New schedules will use the default meeting platform.
New Sessions
6. In a session created as a single session (not part of a schedule) the meeting is created manually. This is where the option will present.
Identify Platform Used
7. Open the meeting in a session and the platform used is notated after the name of that meeting in the relevant platform.
Change Platform in a Session
8. A meeting cannot be switched once created. To change the platform delete the existing meeting and recreate with the desired meeting platform.
Reminders
9. The lessonspace macros will carry the Pencil Spaces meeting links in the reminders but if you prefer you can update your macro in the 3 reminder templates to:
