How to add Availability and link your Oases calendar to your personal Google Calendar.

Link Personal Calendar to TutorPlace
1. Press the down arrow next to your name top right to open the user menu and select My Account.
2. Press Settings.
3. Press on the switch next to Calendar link.
4. In the pop up select Google Calendar.
5. Follow the prompts and when complete press the Settings tab again.
6. Press Send all to Google to update your personal calendar with any sessions already created in Oases. All future sessions will be sent to your personal calendar automatically.
7. Select Show Private Events. This allows your employer to know if you have a private appointment. They won't know what it is but they will know you are busy.
8. Set Show Availability so that time is greyed out when you do not wish to be considered available. This does not come from your Google calendar but from your availability page.
9. Personal appointments will now be blocked off as unavailable and your programmed availability is also shaded. Please Note, this does not prevent a session being made by your or an Admin at the same time as the Unavailability. It simply precludes your name from a list of available tutors for that time and prevents bookings via the public Storefront.
SMS/2FA
10. If your employer has SMS messaging active your can control if you want to receive messages at the bottom of the Settings tab.
11. If your employer has two factor authentication active and set to user choice, you can control if you would like to use 2FA where you receive a code to login after entering your password.
Set Your Availability
12. Press the down arrow next to the avatar top right and select My Account.
13. Press Availability.
14. Add solid blocks to the generic week to indicate when you would like to be considered available to work. Work in the timezone set in your record and displayed at the top of the Availability calendar. If the timezone displayed is incorrect you can change this on the Contact info in your account.
15. Do not add lots of little blocks unless you want to limit your availability to the size of the block. Oases will not show you as available across two blocks and will assume you want a break. Drag the starter block down by hovering over the bottom of the block to be the full length of when you wish to be considered available for a session.
Vacation Calendar
16. The small calendar next to your Availability week is a vacation/day off calendar.
Your employer may use this area or give you authority to mark your time off. Just press in a day to mark that you are not available.
17. If you are already scheduled to work you will receive a screen warning. Follow your company procedures to reschedule any sessions.
Upload Photo
18. Select My Account in the user menu.
19. From the Contact Info tab press on Upload Image.
20. A pop up will open and you can select your photo.
21. Drag the live square until your photo appears in the preview.
22. Press Upload when happy and your image will appear in your record. When you refresh or move to a new page your image will also appear top right.
Permissions
23. The ability for you to edit both your Availability and Vacation Calendar may be switched off by your employer. Please check with the office if you have been instructed to work in this area and Availability and/or the Vacation Calendar are non-responsive.
