Create Specialist Areas
1. Go to Set Up.
2. Select Specialist Areas from the section entitled Other.
3. When you first enter the Specialist Area set up page it will be empty or contain the default items added by Oases.
4. Press Add Row to add a new specialist area and an empty box will open. Each row will create a small check box on the Certifications page of the staff record.
5. Enter the name of your specialist area. These items will appear in alpha numeric order on the certification page in the staff record. So for ease of finding an item, group your items by adding a Type at the beginning so they are all together.
For example:
- Pets - Not allergic to cats
- Pets - Not allergic to dogs
- Pets - Okay with birds, etc.
View your Specialist Areas in Staff
6. Go to the certifications page in a staff record to see your new check boxes listed in alphabetical order. Press Edit to select Specialist Areas for the staff member.
Delete a Specialist Area
7. To delete a Specialist Area press the x at the end of the row and press save.
8. If a Specialist Area is checked off in any staff record the line will 'grey out'. No changes or deletions may be made to a grey row. This is to protect the integrity of your data as a change might lead to an incorrect item being checked off in a staff record and as such incorrect results from Intelligent Match and reporting.
Filter Staff List by Specialist Area
