LessonSpace or Alternative Software
Oases does integrate with Lessonspace for creating meetings & virtual classrooms directly from Oases schedules and sessions.
If you have Lessonspace please follow the Lessonspace tutorials for integration.
LP01. Lessonspace Virtual Classroom
If you do not have lessonspace follow the instructions in this tutorial below.
Create Meeting Link in your chosen platform
1. In your chosen whiteboard/online meeting platform book your online meeting.
2. Copy the meeting link for the scheduled meeting.
3. This URL may be emailed to the student/parent or incorporated in Oases information in the following ways:
Add the Meeting Link to the Session Reminder Emails
4. If you have session reminder emails active for students, tutors or parents in your database you can include the online meeting link in the reminder email.
5. Choose the solution that fits your work process:
- If the link will be different for every session create a session custom field of a type 'link' and name it for online meeting link, add the macro for this session custom field to your reminder emails.
- Or
- If the student will always have the same link when tutoring with a particular tutor you can add this link to the Room field in the schedule for that tutor and student and the schedule will place the link into the Room field in each session. Include the Room macro in your reminder emails.
- Or
- If the student will always have the same link regardless of session and the tutor then you can add a student custom field to the student record. Add the meeting link to this custom field and add the macro from your student custom field to the reminder emails.
6. Go to: Set Up > Other > Templates > select Session Reminder Email - Student, tutor and/or parent.
7. Below the template press to view the dynamic macros list.
8. Find and copy the macro for your custom field and add to the template/s.
9. Save template.
10. Add link for the meeting to the custom field in required session/s by opening the session and pressing on the gray 'show/hide', next to Custom Fields to show the custom fields.

11. If you provide parent/customer access then you may use the class field in the session to communicate your whiteboard link to the parent.
12. Add the whiteboard URL to the Class field in the session.
13. The parent may access the URL from the session list for the student via the parent login.
